Animal Tree

Animal Tree by Pocket Software Inc.
I have been playing Animal Tree, an android app casually these last few months. It was a recommended app due to its similarity to Tiny Tower and I thought the small change in setting would be interesting.

Instead of pixel people, you had unique types of animals such as cats, dogs, squirrels and even bears. There is no specialization or differences in their skills due to their appearance. But there were special residents that could be bought through the cash shop. They also did not seem to have any specialties besides appearance.

There are several floors that can be unlocked similar to Tiny Tower's system but without upgrades. However, you may choose to decorate each floor as they are bare when constructed. The decor and furniture are very pricey especially for new players. Earning money is very tedious due to the clunky and sluggish elevator they provide you with at the start. Elevators can be upgraded to improve speed but costs a hefty amount of diamonds.

This app was upgraded last on February 2014 an does not seem to be maintained regularly. It still contains several bugs but is playable. It is supported through optional ads you may watch for gold, items or diamonds. You do not need an internet connection to play this.

General Tips:

  • Unlock the Special Detective Office (Basement) floor to gain access to money-making quests.
  • Try and keep a variety of animal types as your residents to make it easier to complete quests.
  • Knock on the Rabbit's door every day for a Daily Login Prize.
  • Watch ads to get free items, gold, diamonds. You may skip the ad after 5 seconds.
  • Place animals in their dream jobs. The floor next to the heart in their profile is their dream job.

Special Floors

  • B1: Detective Office - Receive Daily and SP quests here that reward gold, diamonds, cookies, tickets and special residents. Daily Quests are reset every 4 hours and SP quests reset daily.
  • B2: Race Track - Racing Minigame that needs a ticket for entry. Tickets can be bought for 2,500 or received from quest rewards.
  • B3: Elevator Sanctuary - Elevators may be upgraded here for diamonds only. First upgrade was about 20 diamonds.
  • B4: Arabian Market - Buy an assortment of decor/furniture. Seems to change regularly.

Daily Login Rewards

Receive by knocking on the door right underneath the lobby. The below rewards will be different for you. On the 11th day, a special resident is claimable. I got a Valkyrie, which is a dragon resident.
  1. x4000
  2. x4000
  3. x5 Orange Cookie
  4. x2 Tickets
  5. Goodie Bag

Shepherd Saga 2

I downloaded this new app on a whim yesterday called Shepherd Saga 2.
The game itself does not feel very polished and also warms up my phone quite a bit. It is also a battery drainer.
This app is a sheep-raising simulator as its name implies. The graphics are quite simple but cute. The sheep looks rather diverse. Seeing as there's no info or guide for this semi-new game, I'm going to leave some info below for those who have just started like me. This is supposed to be a sequel to Shepherd Saga which I have not played.

Lambs are purchased at the shop and prices are based on the rarity rating.
For 400g, you may receive a lamb of 1-3 star rating.
For 1200g, you may receive a lamb of 2-5 star rating.
They will start out as lambs and will need to be fed right away. Lambs may be brushed a total of 3 times before they get annoyed. After a couple of hours, they will mature into adult sheep which can produce milk and wool. These resources can be recollected over and over again. Sheep may also be brushed again after some time.

All sheep have a Happiness and Health Rating.
