Ran Online Guide: Skill Point Helper Quests
The Skill Point Helper Quests were introduced as part of Ran Online Episode 3 to help bridge some of the skill point shortages. The Skill Point Helper NPC is found at the start of each campus. There are a total of 11 quests you can take with a reward of 2 skill points each. That means you can get up to 22 extra skill points upon completion. The quests are sequential in that you can only receive the next after you finish the previous one. All the quests require that you kill 3 of a particular mob within 1 hour without dying. If you fail either of these conditions, you will have to retake the quest.
Locations
- Take the quest during off-peak hours when the least amount of players will be online.
- Before taking a quest, try to spot the monster that you are looking for so that you only have to find 2 more.
- It helps to have a friend (especially a shaman with turbo) to help you search or to kill.
- This quest is much easier to do at higher levels when you have more AOE or ranged skills.
- Sometimes it is faster to just change campuses to search for the mobs that respawn slowly.
- For the mobs that respawn every few minutes, just wait by the mob to kill it.
- Don't be afraid to use Campus Return Cards.
- Level 5 Req: Eliminate Boss - Chief Hooligan
[Eliminate 3 Chief Hooligan] - Level 10 Req: Eliminate Boss - Bandit Leader
[Eliminate 3 Bandit Leader] - Level 15 Req: Eliminate Boss - Notorious Junkie
[Eliminate 3 Notorious Junkie] - Level 25 Req: Eliminate Boss - Brute Mauler

Ran Online Stat Growth Guide
Each level that you gain on Ran Online will grant you 3 stat points to distribute. Aside from these points, you also have natural stat growth. For example: The stats of a Level 1 Character would differ from a Level 77 that has not distributed any of his points. Of course, this stat growth varies from class to class. It may not be very significant at lower levels but it has a big impact on skill upgrades and equipment at high levels. Below are stat growth charts for each class.
You may find these useful if you want to calculate, for example: how many points you should distribute to a stat to max a skill at a certain level.
If you wanted to find out how much Vitality a Swordsman has at Level 60, you would multiply 4.50(Stat Growth) by Level 60 (minus 1) and then add the Base Points.
A commenter by the name of janies made a correction to the formula I had! I included his/her formula for your convenience.
If you found this guide useful, please leave a comment below. I may add more guides in the future if I know that people are using them. ^^

[4.50 x (60-1)] + 38 = 308 Vitality Points at Level 60.
[Growth Rate x (Target Level - 1)] + Base Point = Stat at the Target Level
[Growth Rate x (Target Level - 1)] + Base Point = Stat at the Target Level

Gravity Updates for Dragonica
There is not a lot of information available on the service transfer of Dragonica Online on the THQ*ICE site since the notice. However, Gravity's Warp Portal site has posted an update about Dragonica and they created a section on the forums for it. They have reported that they will open around mid-september and claim that the game will be updated significantly (4th classes!!).
There is also confirmation that your account name, email, character names, stats, gear, game currency will transfer over along with all cash items. The only thing that will not is THQ*ICE currency. There is another possibility that cash items may be tradable. The admins suggest that everyone spend their cash right away for the most benefit. Gravity is planning to transition by allowing you to bind your account to a Warp Portal one so if you want to get an early start; you may register an account.
Also, no THQ*ICE game cards should be purchased because they might not be redeemable at a later date.
The other bit of shocking news is that the servers Wyvern and Dekard will most likely be merged.
More information can be found here: Warp Portal - Q & A
(Psst. If you haven't noticed already, I have just changed the template of my blog. It was pretty ugly before. I will be making more changes this week so look out! ^^)

Dragonica Online Service Transition
Dragonica Online has become one of my quick favorites since I started it a couple months back. The 2.5D side-scrolling arcade-like MMO is fun, cute and unique. The Dragonica server that I had chosen however was managed by THQ*ICE which I realized later was neglectful. After a few weeks of disappointment with the status of the server (the last event was in June) and nonsensical spam at the forums, I finally stopped playing. The game was dying and so was the community. Finally just a week back or so, THQ*ICE posted up this notice:
Dragonica Online - Service Transition Announcement
Dear Dragonicans,
On August 31st at 9:00 PM (Pacific Time) North American operations of Dragonica Online will be taken over by another game publisher. We are currently working with them and with game developer Barunson Interactive to try to transfer your account so that your characters and items may join Gatto, Amy, and all the other townspeople and villains at their new home.
To make the account transfer possible, THQ*ICE may be required to share your information with Barunson Interactive. In accordance with THQ*ICE's Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, as well as with California state online privacy laws, we will not transfer accounts against player's wishes. If you do not wish to transfer your account information, please come back to thqice.com before August 31st. We will provide a link for you to opt out from the account transition in a few days.
While the THQ*ICE Terms of Use does not require THQ*ICE to refund players for used or unused ICE Cash, as a company we want to thank our active community and compensate for the inconvenience caused by the service transition by providing a limited refund for certain players who recently purchased ICE Cash. For North American players who recently purchased ICE Cash and would like a refund on their unspent ICE Cash, we will update the website shortly with information about this process. We are working on the best way to accommodate our players. Your understanding and patience during this time is much appreciated.
Furthermore, please note that as a part of the service transition process our registrations, payments, and forums will be shut down immediately.
We thank you for supporting us this past year and we hope that you will continue to support Dragonica Online with another game publisher and Barunson Interactive!
Sincerely,
The THQ*ICE Team

Not sure if I'm happy or disappointed or both. But at least, now the community knows what's going on instead of being in the dark. All I can say is I'm glad the server will be moving to a "better" publisher. The new publisher will be Gravity Interactive whose games include Ragnarok Online and ROSE online.
